The Oak Stands Strong!

Stand tall, Oh mighty Oak, for all the world to see!

Your strength and undying beauty forever amazes me.

When the winds are high and restless and
you lose a limb or two,

The OAK

Live thy Life,
Young and old,
Like an oak,
Bright in spring,
Living gold;
Summer rich
Then; and then
Autumn-changed
Sober-hued
Gold again.
All his leaves
Fall'n at length,
Look he stands,
Trunk and bough
Naked strength.
Alfred Lord Tennyson

  2. The oak trees were most beautiful in our area this fall! Lovely 'ode to an oak' by Lord Tennyson.

  4. A beautiful tree and poem! The oaks are the only trees left with some leaves here. Our church has some huge oaks standing around it. They make for beautiful scenery and lovely shade in the summer.
