Forever Young

 He's another year older...which gives him a total of six years.
He told me today that he's allowed to celebrate for the next six months.
He's definitely in the right family.

But what a joy to celebrate with this little one.
I picked him up from school and he's hollering..."HI OMA"
His school for sure, knows who Silas's Oma is and proudly so.

 The first question he asks?
"Do I get presents?'
And then he secretly whispers to me.
"My mom says that's not polite to ask for presents"

And yes, 'Doctor Who' is alive in our household.
(and no, I did not make the cake)
He was hoping for a Tardis...maybe at Christmas.

So I asked him what he wanted to do today.
Well it was simple...let's play "Hill Climb"
(his favorite computer game)
We laughed and giggled as I my driving record was terminated.
Then he wanted to read a chapter from Fablehaven.
Then he suggested to go for a walk and have races outside.
So you know who won that game.
But before that, he decided that we both had to wear scarves and jackets.
He checked his garden and was somewhat dismayed that berry season had ended.
Finding carrots brought a smile to his face.

And while we were walking, a loud honking noise interrupted our conversation.
I looked up into the sky...Yes, those were geese, flying in a V-shape,
just like all the books said.
"Are they flying to Hawaii?" he asked?

And before long, he pointed out towards the sunset.

He remembered the beautiful sunsets in Hawaii.
"Did the sun really go into the ocean, Oma?"

Just recently he celebrated his birthday breakfast with the Disney Characters.
Mickey Mouse will forever be his friend.
It took him awhile to warm up to the characters.
So as you can see he's been celebrating for awhile already.
~~~~~~~~
May God bless and keep you always
May your wishes all come true
May you always do for others
And let others do for you
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young.
May you grow up to be righteous
May you grow up to be true
May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you
May you always be courageous
Stand upright and be strong
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young.
May your hands always be busy
May your feet always be swift
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift
May your heart always be joyful
And may your song always be sung
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young.
I love his smile, his inquisitive spirit, his tender heart, his zeal to explore
and I love being his OMA!
