It always intrigues me while we're in mid-air flying..
I love watching those screens indicating the height, speed and location.
The best part is when you see the marker at 10,000 feet.
then 5000...
then 3000...
5 feet...
and finally it's a safe touchdown.
And I can breath a sigh of relief.
Better yet, is arriving home and finding welcome notes.
It feels like I've been famished after being gone for a few weeks.
There's nothing like that old fashioned cooking awaiting your arrival.
Big Thanks!
Ah, yes, it's good to be back HOME AGAIN!
As the rest of you know...there's the unpacking,
mail sorting, book work, laundry, and cooking for the family,
but in the end, it's so good to come back for all of this again.
I would not trade it for anything.
I hope you had a great vacation. I'm not sure where you were, but I suspect it was warm and sunny! It is always nice to sleep in your own bed again.
ReplyDeleteDid you see me waving as you flew over the Island?
ReplyDeleteWelcome home! I'm over in Vancouver doing some work for CAVRC on behalf of our mutual profession. I wish you were here too!
I so enjoy watching those screens too. .It is best when the skies below are clear so I can confirm visually.
ReplyDeleteWow...someone welcomed you home like that. That is amazing.
I know you are up and running. . .so I hope the rest you had was storable and you can use it now.
Welcome home Marg! Wow what a wonderful homecoming to that good looking food! Blessings...
ReplyDeleteWelcome home! As our pilot in Papua, Indonesia used to state, "Any landing you walk away from is a good landing." Those screens are always fun to watch. I prefer them to the movies.
ReplyDeleteWow! Now those 'welcome home treats' would be an added incentive to get back home. I think someone is spoiling you!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are safely home again!
Yikes! ...looks a bit "chilly" out there.....
ReplyDeleteGlad your homecoming was somewhat of a celebration...that is awesome!
Love those notes! How nice to come home to such a welcome! Funny, how homemade soup is always what I crave when we come home from vacation. There was none in my fridge this time. =)
ReplyDeleteI usually come home to the exact mess that I left behind! You've got it good!
