Five Minute Hazelnut Roll!

video

I'm not sure about these gals anymore,
but as you can see, I bailed out.
As I mentioned earlier...
we are being splashed frequently in the media,
and some of us would rather stay home,
garden, bake, rake leaves or prepare for the Grey Cup game.

Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed the video...
and if any of you can whip up the Hazelnut Roll in 5 minutes,
give me a shout....
I will send you a Mennonite Girls Can Cook Book at no cost.
But you need to share the video with me for proof.

Lovella and Anneliese, you did a great job,
and I know you won't let me live this one down!

  1. How is the leaf raking coming along?

I plan to take up the challenge one of these days...of making the hazelnut 'log roll'. Though I know I won't be doing it in 5 minutes or less!

  2. Haha, yeah, I chuckled when your friend said that you were too scared to come. :) Don't count on me for any video of making the Rog Lol! :)

  3. I was scared too ... and I think next time it might be your turn... and I'll be raking leaves.. or holding the bag.

  6. I would laugh if you got a lot of video's coming your way. We would have loved to have your perfect roll displayed. I still can't figure out how yours is so perfect in the book.

  8. Did the host of the show really say 'Hazelnut Rog Loll'? Too funny!
Marg - I will be trying this one as it sounds like the sort of thing that would be perfect for Christmas Eve. I have a nice bag of ground Hazlenuts from my last visit to the Harrison area.

  9. Five minutes? Are you kidding me Marg? I'll be lucky if I can even put that roll together..oh and first I have to go on a 'ground hazelnuts' hunt which will take much more than 5 minutes. Okay I give up, I can't win:)

  10. I had a good chuckle when Lovella said you were "raking the leaves," Marg! I know there would be no way that I would ever be on TV--I'm much too shy!

Your hazelnut roll looks delicious and it is perfect for the holidays as my daughter-in-law is now on a gluten free diet.
