He's Back on the Road!
Most of you probably remember my frustrating
story about recycling our JD.
Well JD....found a warm spot through the winter months.
Hours were spent, cleaning, painting, refurbishing...whatever men do.
Last week when I came home from work one day,
I saw a very disgruntled look on his face.
He had not conquered his project.
The project conquered HIM!
He left it a few days....
purchased a new battery,
and today I heard a loud boisterous cheer from the house.
Now, I knew he wanted me to come out and look...
Sure enough, it didn't take long and I heard JD
around the yard, popping wheelies
just like a young one let out on green pastures.
Of course he checked to see if I could see him from my window,
making sure I knew that things were under control again.
and are ready to face the spring season again.
Looks like two guys are back on the road!
Spring is in the air...and it sure feels good.

it's whether you get up."

Great work JB and JD..they make a good pair. Happy purring!
ReplyDeleteMarg, I love this. You gave me a much needed smile and chuckle with your post.
ReplyDeleteI am definitely going to share this with my husband. It reminds me so much of him.
That JD - what a pal!....available for a winter of guy-stuff like painting and whatever in the safety of a man-cave, and then popping wheelies and ready for a summer of serious work with his best buddy JB. It just doesn't get better than that (or so I'm told by a certain someone with an old wreck in the garage). Apparently it's important to always have some project ready and willing to be undertaken - insurance, really.
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! So glad he's purring again and just in time.
ReplyDeleteNow that is looking just spiffy! Now...if only our old JD would look so miraculously transformed when I pull it out of the shop next week.
ReplyDeleteWow! It looks like new! Is it for work or play?
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to have weather warm enough to need the equipment! Yeah, for Spring!
ReplyDeleteGlad to have some time this evening to catch up on your recent posts! A fun visit! Loved the Brats on the firepit! Good times! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI love it. .and passed the computer over the the farmer for his "looks good" to pass on to your farmer.
ReplyDeleteI loved mowing the lawn on our JD when we lived on the hobby farm. Glad yours is now performing well.....and you have a happy man.

ReplyDeleteputtering, purring, it is all the same as long as it works...he JB did a nice job on fixing the ol' JD up!
ReplyDeleteAww.. what good's a boy with a broken toy ..unless he can fix it !! smile..
ReplyDeleteLooks like a good summer is ready to happen out your way! smile...
