Live, Love, Laugh

When you walk into our home,
you will see the words engraved on the wall.

Christmas is often a time of year when folks can become stressed
out about shopping, baking, cooking, company...long line-ups.
You name it,
It doesn't take a lot to tick some folks off.

On Sunday night we had a group of friends over,
and spent time playing games,
which had us doubled over in laughter for hours.

Some of the White Elephant gifts had us howling for hours.
"Man, when you lose your laugh you lose your footing."

I love it when you can have a room full of people,
regardless of age, ready to get involved, at no expense,
and practice a new form of exercise.
No, this was not meditating.
It was laughing.

These guys are really into it.
They were trying to draw a picture of a corvette,
racing down the freeway.
The challenge was that they had to draw this on top of their heads.
Try it, if you need to add some laughter at your next event.
The outcome had us in tears, laughing.
There was always a winner!

"You don't stop laughing because you grow old.
You grow old because you stop laughing"

Enjoy the next few days and take time to laugh!

  1. Thanks for the idea Marg. . and what other games did you play? I have our group coming on the 23rd and we could use some laughing this year with a new empty chair.
The drawing on the head sounds perfect .. I'll try that one.

  2. What a fun party! I love the "foot". I guess we could all use another one.
It is always nice to get together with good friends and have a good laugh. I agree that laughter is the best medicine.
I'll be trying the drawing on the head game. Looks really fun!

  3. I love to laugh and spend time with people who love to laugh! Looks like a great party Marg...

  4. And laugh we did! It was the best time...can't remember when I laughed so hard. Laughter is the best medicine at times...and there were a few there who needed desperately to laugh.

  5. LOL...this looks like so much fun. And how great your sign is. That last picture reminds me of see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. LOL Thanks for the uplifting post :) Happy Holidays to you and your family :)

  6. I love this idea Marg! I can see these games really made everyone smile and laugh!

It has been an unusual month for me as I could not so as much as usual as i have a painful stress fracture in my foot which makes standing for any length of time painful, so I have cut back on a lot, but I am still finding joy in what I have been able to do. Joy is in the little things many times more than they are in the big things!

Hope you and your family have a very happy and blessed Christmas!

  7. That looks like so much fun. I think I will try something like it Christmas Day.

  8. Your party sounds like so much fun!

Merry Christmas to you and yours from Willow and The Professor!
