Can You Name the City?

Let me take you on a tour.
One of our favorite outings is to take our bikes
and explore the country sides or the cities.

Where do you think I'm taking you today?
This is a perfect give away!

Just swing up and over the bridge and what a view.
Cruise down through the board walk.

Seeing is believing.
Another give away.
What a beautiful port among the high rises.

What's this?
Are they tearing it down or reconstructing a building?
Will they ever be ready for the 2010 Olympics?
With less than 589 days left?
I think I need to check out this site, next.

Oh, my favorite spot.
This is where he proposed, May 11 1973.
You can see this park by foot, bike or horse drawn carriage.

An early morning ride keeps the heat away.
I love the scents and smells of the ocean.

Meanwhile someone else is scouting out a dining place
on the water to end a perfect day.
What part of the world could be nicer?

  1. Oh Marg! What a good bike ride you had --such pretty scenery -- and how sweet was that to pass by where you husband proposed! My husband proposed to me July 23, 1973, but it was in front of the nurse's residence of the city hopspital I worked for! I had a 12 midnight work shift, and before I had to go to work he got on his knee and proposed to me! I think it was the best night I ever We got married in October the next year so uit'll be 34 years this October -- where have the years gone?
    Hugs, Pat

Well, you know that I definitely don't recognize anything, but when you mentioned the 2010 Olympics I knew it must be Vancouver.

What a beautiful spot for a proposal and wonderful memories.

  3. My brother-in-law proposed to my sister in Stanley Park.

I've never been to Vancouver - I hope to go someday. It's a beautiful city.

  4. Ah, such a nice clear day to photograph . . .
Your bike trip looks like so much fun.

  5. Hey...Vancouver is beautiful! And you picked a perfect, sunny day...that can sometimes be a challenge.

  6. Vancouver, BC?

I've GOT to get my bike out!

The Professor and I were married on July 14, 1973! In six days, it'll be 35 years. Which I find impossible since I am only 39 and my grown children are still in preschool.

What a great day you had, and such perfect weather - we love riding around the sea wall too! We were in Vancouver Sunday (but not on our bikes that day) and am always amazed at how beautiful it is. Lori T
