Monday Morning Musings

I'm out for a leisurely walk on a Sunday afternoon with my sister-in-law.
When we walk, we decide to look for roads or paths in the forest.
Ah Ha!! We like to discover new paths.
Sometimes we don't get too far, and we have to turn around
and check our compasses to make sure all is OK.
We don't like to travel the same road twice.
Today we did not meet our goal or destination.
We were both disappointed within ourselves...

A snake slithered along the path and I screamed in terror.
That was the end of our walk.
Can you imagine two 50 year olds running
and screamed down the mountain for their lives?

Prior to this day, I had been wrestling huge black bears.
No, really my husband was wrestling, trying to turn the big
camping rig around in the middle of the highway,
just so that I could get a real close-up.

As I stepped out the door,
he of course slowly prompted the gas forward,
as if to say, "Hurry up! I'm on my way home.
I've got more important things to do."

Well, eventually that got me moving fast.

So don't let the big things get you down in life.
Sometimes it's those small things lurking in our paths
that cause us more distraction.

Speaking of distractions?
Today is the day!
Some of us have counted sleeps.
The sun is shining and we'll be out early.

Stay posted.

I would have been making a brisk exit myself. You gave me a nice smile with this story.

  2. A snake or a bear would have had me running for the hills! I've seen some odd sights in NYC, but never those --except for a zoo!

The music sounds wonderful, Marg! I like your selections.

    Hugs, Pat

  3. Gosh are right about distractions! But I am thinking a bear is more of a threat than a with my crazy fear of bears. But I have seen one too many too close me thinks. Ta..have a good day.

  4. So how did your day go? Hope you never met anymore snakes...or bears. Ahhh...what fun!

PS I had a great day!

Thanks for stopping by. Sometimes you might identify with what I've posted, and the next time you wonder where I'm coming from. I'd love to hear what you are thinking... Leaving a comment makes my day.
Drop by again.
